DCVC publishes their 2024 Deep Tech Opportunities Report

Each year, DCVC publishes an examination of the deep-tech applications they find most compelling. This year, the report presents an extended look at how deep-tech can help build a future of abundance and resilience—covering topics from robotics and quantum computing to defense, TechBio, TechMed, drug discovery, farming, and beyond.

In close collaboration with the DCVC team, One Design led the design and illustration effort to bring the 2024 edition to life. 106 pages cover topics in-depth with elegantly insightful prose, gorgeous imagery gathered from the field, in-depth data analysis, illuminating illustration, and more.

Novel form for novel innovation

We took the opportunity to push the graphic vocabulary we developed for the inaugural 2023 edition into rich new visual territory, embracing the technological sophistication and complexity of the companies in the firm’s portfolio.

Embracing an opportunity for conceptual impact, this edition’s cover is a graphic representation of the book’s overall structure. A center die-cut invites the viewer to literally peer into the universe of founders and entrepreneurs working to change the world for the better.

Pushing toward a future of prosperity

The DCVC team is “backing the founders who will help cancel the apocalypse and lift millions into prosperity and good health,” and we couldn’t be more excited—and inspired—to continue our collaboration in support.
