Senior Interactive Designer

Description

One Design is looking to add a Senior Interactive Designer to our Chicago-based team. Impressive design chops, a keen eye for solutions rooted in sound strategy, a solid front-end development skill set, along with a genuine love for the industry makes for an ideal candidate and colleague. We’re looking for someone who is more than just a great designer but extremely passionate about making work for the web.

The person we want to join the team should be open to working as part of a collaborative design and development team delivering software in an iterative manner. Culture-fit matters, so we’re looking for someone who is excited to be a part of the One Design community.

• 4-6 years working in the industry
• Is smart, creative and organized
• Is hungry to create compelling, challenging and progressive work
• Doesn’t settle for the obvious and easy solution

• Balances a painstaking attention to detail with an efficient workflow
• Studies and shares the latest and greatest technologies available on the web
• Stays aware of design trends without letting them trump strategically-driven work

• Contributes and thrives in a collaborative work environment

Requirements:

Requirements

• Expert knowledge of modern software tools, including the Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience designing and building responsive websites and applications using modern web-standards
• Strong understanding of UX principles
• Experience building prototypes for websites and applications to test new concepts and ideas.

Desired (but not required):

• Strong front end development skills
• Web-based animation experience
• Mobile application design experience, especially iOS
• Experience with MVC based software design
• We’re looking for teammates onsite in Chicago, but that’s not required for the right person
